Duplexvent - Passivhaus Institute Approved
Airflows Duplexvent DV150SE mechanical ventilation with heat recovery unit has been certified by the independent Passivhaus Institute. Complying with the stringent test requirements for the Passivhaus Institute means the unit is perfect for incorporating into Passivhaus schemes as part of the energy efficient design and construction process.
With exceptional levels of insulation and ultra low air permeability rates the construction of a Passivhaus results in energy savings of up to 90% compared with existing dwelling design.
The use of a mechanical ventilation with Heat Recovery also provides a healthier indoor atmosphere for the occupants and reduces levels of moisture eliminating dampness and mould growth harmful to the fabric of the building.
The Duplexvent DV150SE, which is SAP Appendix Q eligible, is packed with energy saving features with excellent heat recovery of more than 80%. The unit is controlled either automatically by the intelligent SED control system which has optional sensor inputs for occupancy detection using a CO2 sensor. The unit also reacts to increased levels of humidity in wet zones with a range of selectable speed options. Using energy efficient EC motors a low specific fan power is achieved to deliver low energy ratings for SAP calculations.
Compatible with Airflex Pro zero leakage ducting for a more efficient and hygienic installation, Duplexvent provides a solution to contribute towards reduced carbon emissions and lower energy bills.
