Air Handling Unit Range Increases

Airflow's range of Air Handling Units with Heat Recovery has been further expanded with the introduction of the high performance Duplexvent Commercial range in three different air flow volumes of 1500, 2500 and 3500 m3/hr.
Unique to Duplexvent is the ability to rotate the supply and extract fans within the casing, on-site. This provides exceptional flexibility for the contractor during the installation process enabling the unit to be located in the optimum position in the space available to make quick, easy and inexpensive ductwork connections. This advanced modular design also ensures the convenience to install the equipment in a vertical, horizontal or under a ceiling configuration.
A high efficiency, counter flow heat exchanger in a space saving stacked formation is built into the air handling unit so that up to 90% of what would have been the waste air exhausted to atmosphere is recovered and re-used to warm the incoming filtered fresh air and create a lower carbon environment.
Designed for the energy efficient, comfort ventilation of schools, restaurants, sports halls, shops and offices the unit range has a powerful air delivery with low noise ratings and using EC motors ensures a low Specific Fan Power for reduced energy consumption.
Significant advantages for specifiers and designers to consider as part of a buildings BREEAM assessment and also for larger Passivhause developments.
Building operators benefit from installing a ventilation unit with a fresh, filtered air circulated throughout the work place improving the indoor climate and general well being of occupants and visitors alike.
Similarly HVAC distributors benefit from a range of "off the shelf" air handling units which can be quickly adapted to fit on-site. No more bespoke orders with long lead times.
High grade filters remove potentially harmful airborne pollutants and contaminants. Odours and smells are greatly reduced and a generally healthier indoor climate created. Two locking double opening doors on the front of the unit enable routine cleaning and filter servicing to be quick and simple.
With a range of control options and BMS compatibility for " On Demand " ventilation appropriate to occupant levels the unit also incorporates a motorised winter /summer by-pass to isolate the heat recovery function during the hotter months.
