The latest Building Regulations, Domestic Ventilation Compliance Guide, requires all new and refurbished Ventilation installations, that are notifiable to Building Control under 2010 planning requirements, should be commissioned on-site by the installer and a document submitted to the BCO within 5 days of completion.
Airflow's LCA301 Anemometer Kit enables on-site air flow measurements to be taken and air volumes calculated for reporting to Building Control.
The simple one handed operation and a large clear LCD ensures that volume flow reading of air measurement is quick and reliable with a choice of air flow display units in l/sec or m3/hr or air velocity in m/sec.
.
Measuring at outlet grilles from room Extract Fans and Central Extract Units or at the supply and extract air valves from Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery units, the LCA301 operates with the advantage of the latest microchip technology.
Using a variable time base to constantly update the average readings, the meter is supplied with a 285 x 235mm Aircone hood to attach to the vane sensor. The Aircone flow hood is the easy method to maximize the usefulness of the Airflow Anemometer by forming a cone over the outlet
.
Commissioning and balancing of air volume flow is immediately possible at grilles, diffusers, and air valves. The hood is equally suitable for measuring ventilation flow rates for both extract and supply air by simply rotating the vane sensor 180O to point into the direction of flow.
Manufactured in hard wearing ABS for the rigours of on-site use, it is extremely lightweight allowing one man operation for long periods and one handed testing up ladders etc.
Another advanced feature is the compensation factor built into each instrument to help overcome the friction of the bearings at lower velocities so ensuring even greater accuracy. All this is complemented by a self diagnostic function which can automatically test that the unit is functioning properly.
Both the instrument and the Aircone are supplied in a protective carry-case with battery and a DKD certificate of calibration traceable to UKAS standards as required by the Domestic Ventilation Compliance Guide.
